Black & White Party

am one who still believes in birthday parties no matter how old you are. This year for my 15th I threw a Black & White Gala. I found these cute fonts through Google Docs.
I spent quite a bit of time finding ideas for black and white food. The final menu consisted of potato chips, popcorn, pepper jack cheese wrapped in turkey topped with an olive, Oreos, chocolate dipped pretzels, chocolate dipped marshmallows, Hershey's kisses and of course, brownie cupcakes.
(Tutorial for the Pom Pom fluffs coming soon. Also check LittleOldFogie on Etsy, I will be selling them there as well.)
We offered a photo booth filled with loads of vintage shoes, hates and accessories.
The main event of the evening was the rout beer tasting. I had found seven brands of root beer and used them in this blind taste test.
We had so much fun trying each numbered cup then voting on our favorites. The results were surprising ranking Barque's, Mugg, and Great Value as the avdrage top 3.
We decorated using this 1960s typewriter I found in my great grandmas basement and this adorable record player from Crosleyradio.com
As favors we gave each girl a small bag of Hershey's kisses and a tube of the bright red lipstick I wear so often. They had a  ball trying it on. You could for done this was the first lipstick they had ever owned.

We had plans to watch My Fair Lady or a black and white film, but we got too caught up in the fun. This is defiantly was one of the most fun parties I've thrown.
